Mainly, yes. Just for the simple fact they visited my page and took time to actually look at my works. The may or may not have liked it, but it shows that they actually look around dA and not sit on their 'thrones' soaking up attention.

I do, definatly. Thing is, in most cases for me, it's a new friend - take what Ary did: she randomly drew my Whelp Form because I was kind to her, a thing I tend to always be. By time I found out about it, she was sending it to me.

I don't act kind because I want something - I just act kind because I want to make others feel happy; it's just how I am, and I'm happy because of it. ^.=.^

No...mostly 'cuz of the possibility that they were simply browsing through random art and just visited your page while browsing. XD If they left a comment or fav or something, then that would be different.
